
INTRODUCTION

E-MUTIARA is a wholly owned by Bumiputra entrepreneurs from Kelantan and was established in Kota Bharu, Kelantan on 2 June 2005.
The company took over the services from three companies, namely Mutiara Pahim Sdn. Bhd., Mekar Ekspres Sdn. Bhd. and Ballan Sdn. Bhd.
The restructuring was aimed to strengthen and to further expand the business which was originally started in 1992.
E-MUTIARA received its Bumiputra Company Registration Certificate from the Ministry of Finance in 2017.



Although there are differences in passenger fares, the two services offer the same integrated customer service and satisfaction system. The coaches use up-to-date technology in industry by SCANIA to ensure passengers safety and comfort.
The fleet operations are managed using state of the art SCANIA Fleet Management System and are monitored 24 hours a day from a centralized Control Room in E-MUTIARA Head Office.
In 2019, with the strength of 80 coaches, the company has successfully managed over 2,500 trips, for almost 1.2 million passengers.

MUTIARA RENTAS DESA (MRD) is the latest public land transport service in the stage bus category operated by E- Mutiara.
The MRD stage bus service in the state of Kelantan began operations in February 2021 and is monitored by the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) of Malaysia.
Starting with 7 buses and 4 routes, MRD now operates 27 buses, providing stage bus services for 13 routes across the state of Kelantan.
MRD's daily operations are monitored separately by dedicated staff in the MRD Operations Room.
